In 2011 Nirmal Saverimuttu got interested in exploring the cruise line industry and realised a lurking business opportunity. He and Tom McAlpin a Virgin Group Executive, launched a new cruise line headquartered in Miami, Virgin Cruises under the Virgin Group.
In 2016, Virgin Cruises got a brand-new logo and name ‘Virgin Voyages’. The new cruise line’s first ship, Scarlet Lady, sailed on August 6, 2021, from Portsmṣouth Lauderdale. Today, Virgin Voyages cruise line has three ships, and the fourth one is in the line of order. The Virgin Voyages targets a younger demographic, especially those who have never experienced cruising.

All three ships owned by Virgin Voyages are similar in size and number of cabins they possess. All three ships have 1408 passenger cabins and 813 crew cabins.
From these 1408 cabins; there are 1030 balcony cabins, 95 window cabins, and 105 inside cabins. Considering these numbers true, we observe they have 86% of balcony cabins and 93% of ocean view cabins. This is also mentioned in the release brochure of Virgin Voyages.

Your tickets will be canceled on the date of notification. You can get a full refund if you cancel before 120 days of the date of departure. Canceling between 119-45 days lands you a 50% refund and after 44 days left for departure, you’ll get no refund.
